jack herer seeds

The Jack Herer strain was named in tribute to the late cannabis activist, polemicist and author of the all-time classic “The Emperor Wears No Clothes”. It has become established as something of a classic marijuana strain itself combining the out-there euphoric, cerebral effect of a pure Sativa strain with the resin-producing qualities of a pure Indica. It was originally created by Sensi Seeds by crossing a Haze with a Northern Lights #5 x Shiva Skunk cross.

Due to the existence of several phenotypes, flowering may take anywhere between 50 and 70 days.

Jack Herer has a sweet, peppery taste. THC production is high at a minimum of 18% right up to 23%. One thing is certain, however – no matter which phenotypes develop, the effect will be clear and creative with outbreaks of euphoria likely.

Jack Herer has thick buds with rounded tops, dark green leaves and rust-colored pistils. An abundant amount of resin coats the buds, leaves, stems and even the plant stalks.

Jack Herer weed produces so much resin that even the branches glisten with crystals. High Times wrote: “The bud was heavy with crystals and resin, the high was immediate and cerebral. An excellent strain”. The smoke shows hints of sativa haze characteristics with a sweet, skunky taste…. these seeds produce phenomenal weed plants and this Jack Herer seeds strain is one of our favourites!

Jack Herer is one of the most heavily awarded strains since its beginning in the 1990s. Named after the well known American cannabis activist and author Jack Herer, Sensi Seeds created this dazzling strain by crossing Northern Lights #5 with Shiva Skunk and Haze. Jack is a 50/50 hybrid with THC levels of 21% and a CBD of .07%. Dutch pharmacies have recognized the many medical benefits of this strain and authorized its use for medical patients in the Netherlands.

These Jack Herer seeds are a direct descendant of the original Jack Herer weed from Sensi Seeds, a hybrid cannabis plant that is the result of many years of selective breeding. This weed strain was named to honour Jack Herer, one of America’s greatest cannabis activists and author of “The Emperor Wears No Clothes”.

Jack Herer is known for its long-lasting psychedelic and motivational high. There is still enough indica in the plant to keep you grounded and relaxed without creating anxiety. In the medical market, Jack is often promoted for being effective at relieving arthritis and fibromyalgia. The buzz is fast-acting and gives a nice creative mind and body high while promoting a sense of well being.

The Jack Herer strain has several phenotypes, most of them produce a tall and early flowering sativa dominant plant. An occasional more indica leaning phenotype will pop up about 20% of the time. All of the Jack plants are best grown in a warm climate with low humidity. Indoor gardens would do well to employ the SOG and SCROG growing methods. 10-12 weeks of flowering for indoor plants with an average yield of 18oz/m2 is standard. While outdoors, Jack finishes flowering in late September and provides a typical harvest of 18oz/plant.
